NSLDN Sues for Order Compelling Secretary DeVos to Release May 30 Submission by ACICS

On July 6, 2018, NSLDN filed its fourth lawsuit in five months to force Secretary DeVos to make public documents relating to the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, known as ACICS. This Complaint, filed by the National Student Legal Defense Network (NSLDN) in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, seeks a Court order requiring Secretary DeVos to release materials that ACICS submitted to the Department in May 2018 in support of its petition to be continued as a federally recognized accreditor of institutions of higher education.

Additional information about the material sought by NSLDN, including interim FOIA productions from the Department of Education, is available here.
